NGEL Recruitment 2026 Last Date Extended – Apply Online for 114 Assistant Engineer & Deputy General Manager (RE) Posts

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has issued a corrigendum extending the last date for submission of online applications against Advertisement No. 02/26. The deadline has moved from 31 July 2026 (18:00 hrs) to 31 August 2026 (18:00 hrs), giving candidates a full additional month to apply.

There is one detail in the extension notice that candidates must not overlook, and it is the single most common source of rejected applications in extended recruitments. The cut-off date for determining age, educational qualification, experience and all other eligibility conditions remains unchanged at 31 July 2026. The extension applies only to the act of submitting the form. If you cross an age threshold or complete a qualifying year of experience in August 2026, it does not count.

All other terms and conditions of Advertisement No. 02/26 remain unchanged and continue to apply.

NGEL may also raise the minimum eligibility standards as required.

Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at a specified government hospital (of at least district hospital status) before joining. No relaxation in prescribed health standards is allowed, and detailed medical norms are published on the NGEL website.

Documents to Upload

Document handling is where this recruitment is genuinely demanding. NGEL requires experience documents to be arranged organisation-wise and in reverse chronological order, beginning with the current or most recent employer and working back to the first. For each organisation, the document set should include:

  • Experience Certificate or Service Certificate
  • Offer of Appointment / Appointment Letter / Joining Letter / Confirmation Letter / Absorption Letter / Order on Completion of Training / Relieving Letter, as applicable
  • Two pay slips for each year of service in that organisation

To demonstrate designation, work area and nature of experience, candidates may also need Role Assignment Orders, Organisation Charts, Transfer Orders or Promotion Orders.

Other required uploads include the Class X certificate or marksheet plus valid Aadhaar and PAN card for name and date of birth proof, consolidated marksheets or transcripts for the Diploma (E-0) or Engineering degree (E-6), the marks conversion formula where CGPA is used, and category certificates where applicable. OBC-NCL certificates must be in central format for FY 2026-27, and EWS certificates must be valid for FY 2026-27 based on FY 2025-26 income. Disability certificates must be generated online through the Swavlamban/UDID portal.

The notification warns that incomplete, inadequately supported or improperly arranged experience documents may result in the application not being considered during scrutiny.

Candidates from Government organisations or PSUs will need to produce a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
