Privacy Policy
Editor’s note: this is a working draft written for a job information website in India. Read it against how your site is actually set up — which analytics, ad network and plugins you run — and have it reviewed before you rely on it. Delete this note once you have done that.
This policy explains what All Govt Jobs India collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: you can read this entire website without giving us your name, and we do not sell your data.
What we collect
Information you give us
Only what you choose to send. If you email us, subscribe to alerts or leave a comment, we hold what you submitted — typically a name and an email address — so we can reply or send you what you asked for.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our server and our analytics record technical information as you browse: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the time of your visit. This is used in aggregate to understand what is useful and to keep the site working.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for and do not want your Aadhaar number, PAN, roll number, registration number, exam credentials, bank or card details, or copies of your documents. No genuine job information website needs these. If any page appears to ask you for them, it is not us — please report it.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to remember display preferences, to measure traffic, and — where advertising is shown — to help our advertising partners select and cap ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some conveniences may not.
Analytics and advertising
We use third-party services that set their own cookies and receive technical data about your visit. These typically include a web analytics provider and an advertising network.
Where Google services are used, Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and turn off personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings, and manage cookie preferences for many vendors at aboutads.info.
Editor’s note: name your actual providers here — for example Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense — and link their policies. Vague wording is worse than no wording for both trust and ad-network approval.
How we use information
- To operate the website and serve pages
- To reply to your messages and send alerts you asked for
- To understand which content is useful, in aggregate
- To detect abuse, spam and attacks
- To meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with employers, coaching institutes or recruiters.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and comparable laws elsewhere, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw a consent you previously gave — for example by unsubscribing from alerts. Write to us through the contact page and we will act within a reasonable period.
Retention
We keep personal data only while it serves the purpose you gave it for, or while a legal obligation requires it. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you individually may be kept longer.
Children
This site publishes government recruitment information and is intended for adults of working age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We will post any revision on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
Contact
