BCCL Overseer T&S Gr “C” Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline (Departmental)

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a Miniratna company and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has issued an internal notification inviting applications for selection to the post of Overseer, T&S Grade “C”, against vacancies in the Approved Manpower Budget (MPB) 2025-26.

Important: this is a departmental/internal selection, not an open recruitment. Only existing permanent employees of BCCL who meet the eligibility conditions below can apply; it is not open to candidates outside the company.

Minimum Qualification

Should have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent, and should possess a recognised Diploma in Civil Engineering (3-year course).

Eligibility Conditions

• Only permanent employees of BCCL who fulfilled the required qualification as on 31 January 2026 may apply.
• Employees who have successfully completed their training period as on the cut-off date are eligible.
• Employees in higher grades are not eligible. Employees in the same grade or below are eligible provided they fulfil the other criteria under the cadre scheme.
• The candidate must have a minimum “GOOD” CR (Confidential Report) rating for the 3 assessment years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, or the actual work period.
• The candidate’s Vigilance/Departmental Clearance must be “Clear”.
• If the educational qualification was acquired after the date of appointment, a copy of the office order granting permission from the competent authority must be attached.

Selection is subject to vacancy as per the Approved Manpower Budget of BCCL in force at the time of final selection, and reservation for SC/ST and PwD candidates will be considered as per government norms.

Selection Process

Eligible applicants will be called for a written Selection Test at a date and venue decided by the NEE Department, BCCL HQ.

There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% of total marks for General (UR) candidates and 35% of total marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Tie-breaking Criteria

If two or more candidates score equal marks, merit is decided in this order: (1) earlier Initial Date of Appointment ranks higher, (2) if still tied, the older candidate by Date of Birth ranks higher, (3) if still tied, alphabetical order of the candidate’s name.

Documents to Attach

• Self-attested copies of educational/technical qualification certificates for the post (with office permission order if the qualification was acquired after appointment)
• Valid SC/ST/PwD certificate from a competent authority, if applicable
• Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, or actual work period
• Departmental Clearance (DC)
• Attested passport-size photograph

All documents must be duly forwarded by the Controlling Officer. Applications received without these documents, incomplete, late, unsigned, or not routed through the proper channel are liable to be rejected.

Eligible departmental candidates should download the prescribed Application Proforma from bcclweb.in under Infobank > Careers in BCCL, fill it in, attach all required self-attested documents, and route it through their Controlling Officer to reach the respective HOD by 14 August 2026 and the NEE Department, BCCL HQ, with all relevant documents by 18 August 2026.
