RITES Assistant Manager (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 24 Posts

RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has invited online applications for 24 Assistant Manager (Mechanical) posts on a regular basis under Vacancy Circular No. RG/11/26. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology, or in Mechanical, Production, Production & Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Railways, Mechatronics & Automobile, or any combination of the above disciplines, from a university or institution recognised by AICTE.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of post-qualification outdoor work experience in production, mechanical maintenance or other mechanical engineering areas. The candidate must have worked at a project site, factory or plant during this period; training, internship, teaching or research experience does not count towards this requirement.

Age Limit

Maximum 32 years as on 17 August 2026, the closing date. Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, 10 years for PwBD, and as applicable for Ex-Servicemen and RITES employees.

Marks Requirement

UR/EWS candidates (and reserved-category candidates applying against unreserved posts) need a first-class degree or minimum 60% marks. Reserved-category candidates applying against reserved posts need at least 50% marks.

Selection Process

  1. Written Test: 125 objective-type questions, one mark each, for 2.5 hours, with no negative marking. Qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD.
  2. Document Scrutiny: Based on written test results and the number of vacancies, shortlisted candidates are called for interview after verification of original documents.
  3. Interview: Candidates are called in the ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies. Final selection weightage is 60% for the written test and 40% for the interview.

The fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates is refunded after their participation in the further selection process, after deducting bank and GST charges.

Pay and Benefits

Selected candidates will draw pay in the scale of ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000, fixed at the minimum of the scale, along with dearness allowance, performance-related pay, HRA or lease accommodation, medical facilities, and a superannuation package covering PF and Gratuity.
