BITS Pilani, Goa Campus has invited applications for two Research Fellow positions on a DRDO-funded project, open only to PhD aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria of the BITS Pilani Doctoral Program.

Scope of Work
The project aims to develop a library of AI/ML algorithm IP cores in both hardware and software.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
Post Graduate or Graduate degree in Electronics/Communication/Instrumentation/Computer Science/EEE or an equivalent discipline from a recognised university. Candidates must also separately satisfy the eligibility and qualification criteria of the BITS Pilani PhD Doctoral Program, since this position is open only to PhD aspirants.
Desirable Qualification
Strong background in digital design and hardware description language. Knowledge of FPGA-based system design will be an added advantage.
Fellowship and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹37,000 to ₹42,000, based on the year of PhD and performance, plus HRA. In addition to the fellowship, a contingency fund will be provided to support research activities. Candidates will work on state-of-the-art hardware and software development platforms with opportunities to collaborate with overseas universities and industry. Hostel or married scholar accommodation may be provided subject to availability and institute rules.
Selection Process
Preliminary shortlisting is based on the resume and a telephonic or audio-visual interview, conducted within a week of the application deadline. Shortlisted candidates will then be informed by email for a final interview. No TA/DA is provided for the personal interview.
