DGQA Technician Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for Semi-Skilled & Skilled Posts

The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has invited offline applications for Technician posts in the Semi-Skilled and Skilled categories under Advertisement No. CQA(S)/2026/Tech(SS) & Tech(SK). The posts are Group ‘C’, Non-Ministerial, Industrial positions spread across DGQA establishments in Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Jabalpur and Chandigarh.

The 14 posts are distributed across six DGQA establishments covering both Technician (Semi-Skilled) and Technician (Skilled) categories, reserved across UR, SC, ST and OBC as per Government of India norms:

• Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Electronics), Bengaluru
• Senior Quality Assurance Establishment (Electronics), Jabalpur

• Ordnance Factory, Chandigarh

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

As is standard for DGQA Group ‘C’ Technician recruitment, age relaxation is available for SC/ST and OBC candidates, and for Ex-Servicemen the actual age is reduced by the length of military service rendered, plus a further 3 years for OBC-category ex-servicemen or 5 years for SC/ST-category ex-servicemen. Candidates should verify the exact minimum and maximum age against the official notification, since the scanned copy does not clearly state a single age band for every establishment.

Educational Qualification

Trade-specific ITI certification or the equivalent Defence Services Tradesman course approved by the Central or State Government, as prescribed for each establishment and trade in the official notification. A Class 10 admit card, mark sheet or pass certificate issued by a recognised education board is the only accepted proof of date of birth.

Pay and Allowances

Selected Technician (Semi-Skilled) candidates will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-1 (₹18,000 – ₹56,900) and Technician (Skilled) candidates in Pay Matrix Level-2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) under the 7th CPC, along with dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other admissible allowances. Recruited candidates will be covered under the National Pension Scheme / Unified Pension Scheme as per extant Government of India rules.
