About Us
Every year, lakhs of candidates in India miss a government job they were fully eligible for. Not because they were not good enough, but because they never heard about the notification in time, or they read a wrong vacancy count on a website that never checked the source. All Govt Jobs India exists to close that gap.
We track recruitment notifications from central government departments, state public service commissions, staff selection boards, banks, railways, defence establishments, public sector undertakings and university and hospital administrations across all 36 states and union territories, and publish them in one place, in plain language, free of charge.
The problem we are trying to solve
Government recruitment information in India is scattered across hundreds of official portals. Each department publishes its own PDF, in its own format, on its own timetable. Many of those PDFs run to forty pages of dense official language before they tell you the one thing you actually need to know: are you eligible, and by what date must you apply.
Meanwhile a large number of job websites simply copy each other. A typo in a vacancy count on one site gets reproduced across a dozen others within a day, and a candidate somewhere plans around a number that was never in the official notification at all.
How we work
- Official sources only. Every listing starts from the department’s own notification PDF or its official recruitment portal. We do not republish from other job websites.
- The source is always linked. The notification PDF and the official website are linked at the top of every page so you can check our work in a single click. If we ever cannot link a source, we do not publish the listing.
- A fixed summary table. Vacancy count, post names, pay level, age limit, qualification, fee, selection process and last date, in the same place on every page, so you can judge your eligibility in about ten seconds.
- Updates in place, not duplicates. Government boards issue corrigenda constantly. When a date or a vacancy count changes we update the existing page and note what changed, rather than publishing a second page that competes with the first.
- Closed recruitments stay online. The syllabus, cut off and previous paper information remains useful for the next cycle, so we mark a page closed rather than deleting it.

What we are not
This is important, so we will be blunt about it. We are a private website. We are not a government body, not a department, not a recruitment agency and not connected to any examination board. We cannot influence any selection, we do not accept applications, and we have no role in any recruitment process.
We never charge a fee for anything, and we never telephone candidates. Application fees are paid only on the official government portal. If anyone contacts you using our name to offer a job, guarantee selection or ask for money, it is a fraud — please report it to us and to your local cyber crime cell.
